Whenever we kids we kids wake up in the morning or go to bed, we tend to look at our phones or iPad which is a bad habit as it damages our eyes. So in this blog, I am going to share the top 5 things to do
after getting up. Make your child read this blog or you can suggest these ideas to them so that they start with a wonderful beginning!
1. Going to the washroom
For 8-10 hours till you sleep, you have not gone to the washroom once, but once you wake up, try to go to the washroom as it’s your body’s way of balancing the amount of water.
2. Drinking water
Again, for 8-10 hours you haven’t had water so have a sip of water when you wake up as it releases toxins, boosts your metabolism, ease aches and pains.
I take a sip of water as soon as I get from my bed as I have a bottle at home which I keep to finish at least 2 litres. So drinking water when you wake up is one of the healthiest habits and it also makes you feel cool and nice.
3. Read a book
When I wake up, I choose the book that I have been reading and I read 10 - 15 pages which makes me go into another world and I also learn something new. I either read fiction or non fiction at a time.
You can choose what book you want to start reading after you wake up. You can read 10 - 15 pages for at least 30 minutes. Choose a time where you want to read like I read between 6:15 to 6:45 so if you fix a time in the morning so that you get a clear idea of how much you read and for what amount of time.
Exercising is an important habit to follow in your life. While you also play with your friends in the evening, morning exercise with meditation is also important as it calms your body and soothes your mind. I cycle everyday after reading which freshens me. You can also walk, run, cycle, do yoga or meditate. Again, it also important here to set a time to exercise/play sports in the morning, so that you have a clear idea how much you exercised and the amount of time you exercised. I exercise for 30 minutes where I do yoga, cycling, walking, from 7:00 - 7:30. So decide a time and also the days where you want to exercise.
5. Brush your teeth
When you wake up, the first thing to do is brush your teeth. You can also do it before having a bath, but if you brush the first thing in the morning it removes the plaque that has built up during the night and takes care of many of the bacteria. Also, brushing your teeth before having your breakfast is healthier than brushing afterwards.
These were the top 5 activities you can do after waking up in the morning. All these activities are super healthy and effective for your child to do after getting up.
My order of doing these activities in the morning are:
Drinking water < Going to the washroom < Brush your teeth < Read a book < Exercise
